  I love this place. It's basically unchanged and it would be a real shame if they ever did change. Food is great, prices are great, atmosphere is great, service is great. Our waiter tonight was lovely and organised a special birthday dessert for my mum. Has a great family atmosphere and everyone left very very full and very very happy.

  This place has a great deal of old world charm but has clearly fallen on hard times recently. I've always been a fan but the basement layout, the crumbling decor and food menu which favours quantity over quality means that it doesn't fit in with its location. With so many new Greek options emerging like Medusa, alpha and fast Greek options like Zeus; I wonder what will become of places like Diethnes in the future.

  Fantastic service. Authentic Greek menu. Delicious souvlaki and scrumptious moussaka! Very happy customers. Will be back again????

  Excellent service with comforting home-style Greek food. Our server was very accomodating and and took care of us. We ordered the Dinner Banquet 1 which normally required a minimum of 4 people however they agreed to let us order with just 3 diners. The squid, moussaka and roast lamb shoulder were highlights of the night and in very generous portions even after it had been scaled down to fit 3 diners.

  Delicious food, friendly polite staff, efficient service, 9 meals got served very quickly, within 15-20 minutes. Not very crowded and not very noisy. Reasonable prices & generous portions. Will definitely be back.
